Location

The state of Zacatecas is located in the central-north part of the Mexican Republic, 376 miles from México City, and is surrounded by the states of: Jalisco, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Coahuila and Durango. It has a area of 28,973 sq. miles, and is divided into 58 municipalities.

Climate

Dry weather predominates generally, although in the south of the area one can enjoy a more magnanimous weather as it fluctuates between temperate and sub humid. Apart from these regional exceptions, the annual average temperature is 61˚ F, with the months of November and January being the coldest and although rain isn’t abundant in this state, the rainy season is from June to September.
